We did not stay in the St Andrews lodge as it was the wrong accommodation.

All the lodges are lovely and clearly a lot of money has been spent on the aesthetics but more money should have been spent on the guests comfort rather than super size TVs. The mattresses and sofas were extremely uncomfortable. We stayed for 4 nights as a family mini break, Im glad we didnt book an entire week as none of us had a goodnight sleep with such unsupportive and uncomfortable beds. Despite the lodge not accommodating pets, a previous occupant clearly had a dog as there was dog hair everywhere, especially the rug in the living room. Generally the lodge was clean but could have been better, and our dishwasher didnt work so had to hand wash everything. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, my only complaint is that there clearly isnt enough staff! Despite a 4pm check-in, many of the lodges were not ready and families had to wait for their keys. The guy in charge of cleaning and maintenance was also the barman and waiter! Clearly they need to hire more staff. The site was nice, really nice if you like golfing but there is nothing else to do and families are obviously not allowed on the green. The long drive way from the main road to the reception and car park is full of potholes, they are huge and everywhere, near impossible to miss! They need to fill these ASAP! If they spent as much time and effort maintaining the site as much as they do the golfing green it would be a lovely place. Other than Skegness pleasure beach there is very little to do nearby and with no onsite entertainment or activities, other than golf, youre left to entertain yourselves in your lodges. Overall, it was nice but not great. We booked late and had a considerable discount which was still poor value for money. Would not pay full price.

Lovely lodge.Nice location.Clean and tidy.Driving range could do with an updateMain issue... MANAGER. Mark/Mike.Patronising.WiFi wasn't working. Was offered a 'donglethat worked for about 1 hour a day. 2 rolls of toilet roll for a cabin holding 8people for 5 days.Asked for another roll as child unwell and'going through it.Answer I got was 'if you'd ever been to alodge before, you'd know we only provide astarter pack'. Rude and patronising.Electricity went off after been there for anhour, but quickly resolved.EV charger not working. All other staff lovely.

Second and last year at Addlethorpe. Really disappointed with cleanliness of accommodation this year and staffs lack of response when brought to their attention. Previous holidaymakers rubbish was left in lodge, food left in cupboards, missing pillowcases on beds, one bathroom not cleaned properly and the other bathroom had been cleaned with bleach but not rinsed which led to child's shorts ruined by bleach marks. Shame as the lodges themselves are lovely.

Good sized lodge, very clean and wellKept. Very small back rest on the sofas so can't lay back and relax. Mattresses uneven but then this is require taste and everyone is different in this situation.

We spent a week at the end of October. We loved the lodge & its surroundings. The lodge was set up fabulously, really spacious, clean & well laid out. The road to the lodges needs to be lit better & also less bumpy!! The lodge is meant to be a luxury autograph lodge but a few things let it down. The glasses were all plastic which is not necessary. The bath towels are too small, they should be decent sized sheets. The hot tub could do with some lighting, possibly fairy lights & is too exposed to the everyone else. The bedrooms need bedside lights on the side table.

Adding a dishwasher would be the icing on the cake and a shower over the bath would mean this would achieve 5 stars all round.

Lovely lodge but was disappointed when first arrived as full of flies - after a few hours of whacking them and a tin of fly spray we were sorted - there appeared to be spreading in the surrounding area so that may have caused the flies on our weekend..

The Carnoustie Lodge was just right for our family's needs and our dog. It gave us the peace and quiet we needed. The boys enjoyed the golf and the hot tub. The only slight annoyance was the flies! The family have asked if we can book it again next year, so I think that is praise I itself. Thank you.

Just got back from a long weekend at Addlethorpe golf course. We had a great time, my teenage son loved the driving range, hot tub and the large TV! We also enjoyed the hot tub, the lodge was clean and had everything you need. Carol and staff were always really helpful, the dog was welcomed in the club house too. We enjoyed having food from the club house and the local pub round the corner, if your plan on visiting I would advise take a touch for the walk back at night. All round fab mini break!

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you!
Andrew
It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!
