Visitor Reviews of Fishguard Bay Resort

Date of stay: 30th March 2025
Me, my partner and 2 doggies stayed here for 2 nights on my birthday. We stayed in one of the superior lodges and it was everything we wished for and more. Stunning sea views, sunset and really clean and tidy. The hot tub is clearly very well maintained and was the icing on the cake for us. Our dog loved it and it was very cozy with the fire as well. We visited Newport Sands Beach which was dog friendly and gorgeous! main Fishguard town was a short 5 minute drive. We would highly recommend and cant wait to visit again! ??

This was probably the best lodge weve ever stayed in. It was in a gorgeous position with sea view.It was clean, comfortable & attention. to detail was second to none. The owner had really bothered with the furnishings which I find very important. Plants, cushions, throws, pictures, ornaments, lovely lighting. Will definitely return to this fab lodge!!!5 stars.Thank you for the chocolates, crisps, popcorn etc, a nice surprise.

Just back from 3 nights at Fishguard Bay Resort with my family and we have absolutely loved it. The location of the resort is stunning, so many lovely walks and beaches within a short drive and obviously the coastal path accessible from the resort is a must. The welcome pack was also a nice touch. Plenty of towels supplied, enough for baths and to use for hot tub, and they were nice quality. We stayed at one of the superior lodges - number 5, Carningli and the views were great, we had a hot tub which we really enjoyed. The lodge was the perfect space for the family and 2 dogs. I loved the fenced patio, so we could let the dogs out and not worry they would run off.I think the only negative I have, and why I am not giving it 5 stars is the beds. I found the mattresses quite comfy, however, the divan beds were all sunken, so the mattress would sink into it, not making it very comfortable. This was particularly bad on the twin room beds. My daughter didn't sleep well at all on any night while there. I hope this is taken into consideration and the beds updated, because this really is a lovely resort and we would definitely come back.

We absolutely loved this holiday, it was so relaxing with sea views. The lounge was beautiful and comfortable, on arrival the hot tub was ready to dive in and relax from the drive. The lounge was clean and beautifully set for all our needs. We loved the welcome pack with sweet treats and local cakes. This was a perfect holiday for us and we will definitely come back and stay. There is some take aways that will deliver to your lodge and we even had a shopping delivery. The holiday site has a shop on site and is well worth a visit, for your information leaflets and for items you may need. The staff are so welcoming and very informative.A must to visit.

The location and the park itself was picturesque, however there is nothing to do on the park and the closest village is a 15 minute drive.I booked this as a birthday treat for my boyfriend and it just got worse the longer we were at the lodge. It completely ruined the gift I had bought and we did not enjoy ourselves at all. Upon arrival we were excited and the lodge looked great from the outside. However when we went inside we were met with cobwebs and hair balls on the floor and ceilings. We went to set up the pull out bed and when we pulled out the complementary, park supplied pillows and duvets we were greeted with hairs all over them! It was disgusting! We also found stains on the mattress which just drew the line for us. We ended up sleeping on the couch which was extremely painful and caused me and my boyfriend to barely sleep. We went to reception the next morning as it was late when we arrived the day before. When at reception, the staff member didnt seem very interested in our concerns and just said that she would send house cleaning to come and clean the lodge again. We thought that we had been listened to and would have things rectified, so we went out for the day. When we arrived back, the only things that had changed was that the cobwebs had been dusted and a very thin matters protected was applied to the mattress. The stains were still there and the balls of hair were still on the floor. We werent even given fresh linen.Me and my boyfriend ended up cleaning it ourselves and sleeping on a hard couch all week until we gave up and came home early. We will not be returning and I hope that anyone else who books here does not book the awful studio pod we had.

Nice setting, car is a must.Resort is ok, just a small shop on site.Cleanliness of lodge could have been to a higher standard. When staff visiting to check hot tub it would be preferred if the gate off accommodation had been closed securely as people who have dogs or young children could have caused unnecessary issues.
