With such an amazing setting on the Yorkshire coastline, it is easy to see why Cayton Bay is such a favourite holiday destination for families. There are miles of long sandy beaches, a huge array of water sports such as windsurfing and sailing and of course several vibrant seaside resorts crammed with traditional attractions.

The nearby towns of Scarborough and Filey are not to be missed with fun fairs, amusement arcades, boat trips and fantastic attractions including castles, aquariums and parks. Those who enjoy outdoor pursuits can head to the North Yorkshire Moors to enjoy some of the most dramatic and stunning scenery in the UK. Walking cycling, golf and fishing are just a few of the activities on offer.

Cayton Bay has more going for it than just the location though! The large and friendly site is packed full of top class facilities to ensure fun for the whole family. There is the indoor pool, the mini golf, the 10 pin bowling, the sports court and the amusement arcade and that is just the tip of the iceberg. The site also offers a fantastic program of day and evening entertainment with clubs for the children, bingo for the grown ups and professional cabaret shows to enjoy regularly. Reviews of Cayton Bay are excellent and many families return year after year.

With no less than 21 types of holiday home to choose from, Cayton Bay caters for all budgets. We particularly love the luxurious Cayton Platinum 3 model and recommend it to families looking for a very high standard of accommodation. The 12ft wide caravan is beautifully fitted out and has a well equipped kitchen, spacious living area and 3 good sized bedrooms. The double glazing and central heating make it suitable for a holiday at any time of the year.

If value for money is a top priority then the Cayton Bronze will fit the bill. These caravans may be slightly smaller but they are comfortable and have everything needed for a self catering holiday. Gold caravans, Silver and adapted caravans suitable for partially disabled visitors are also available.

"Head to the North Yorkshire Moors for fantastic outdoor pursuits."

Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors and Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

Cayton Bay Reviews

Michael, Derby
Date of stay: 24th September 2016
Accommodation type: Cayton Gold 2 Accessible
Some things were not up to standard, frayed carpet in the lounge/kitchen area. Dirty freezer compartment, also dirty tray in the oven. In the bathroom there was a
broken latch on the shower doors. But in all it was a nice van, and conveniently
positioned.
