We had a lovely week helped by the fantastic weather!!!!
Anita, Kirkby In Ashfield
The lodge was beautifully furnished and well equipped with a washing machine and dish washer if you wished to use them, it was positioned on slightly higher ground than the lodges in front so we had an excellent view of the boats coming and going in the marina. There was also a large flat screen TV with built in DVD player. This was a 6 birth lodge with 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms so there was plenty of sleeping space, but I felt that any more than four in the lounge area would have been a squeeze and in fact one occupant would have been sitting on a dining chair if you all wanted to stay in and watch TV or a DVD, however for the 2 of us it was very comfortable indeed.
Loved the lodge especially the view from the decking area
DEFINITELY 10 ++++++++++++++ WELL DONE
Nice small park
If I could score the lodge higher than a 10, I would!
lovely setting, early in the morning with coffee on the balcony watching the birds and the boats go by.
Brilliant stay at Gimblet Rock. The lodge was amazing. View and location beautiful. Friendly staff. Good facilities, although playground for kids could be a little bigger. All in all a fantastic week, the brilliant heatwave weather helped.😀
REALLY SPACIOUS LODGES
VERY CLEAN AND QUIET SITE
SWIMMING POOL BRILL
STAFF REALLY HELPFUL
WOULD STAY AGAIN
We stayed in a Deluxe 6 person caravan. It was brand new and well equipped with everything you would need. The caravan park itself is lovely, quiet and right next to the beach.
Lovely caravan and well equipped with good quality utensils etc. Welcome pack included some tea bags, coffee / dried milk sachets, sponge for washing up, small (very) bottle of washing up liquid, swing bin liner. Restaurant was good-ate there one night and hoped to eat there again, but was closed Wed and Thurs.....so check if you go out of season as its not open every day.
Great location ! Great price and facilities are great. The club house is very quiet during the week , great for us but not for anyone looking for an evening of socialising
Gimblet rock is superbly located on it's own headland trapped between the marina and the Irish sea. many of the lodges and caravans have sea or marina views and there is a backdrop of the distant mountains of the Snowdonia national park. The park is well positioned for exploring the north wales coast and the national park and there are beaches nearby if you just want to relax. I wont go into all the on park facilities but I must say for a park of this High standard I wasn't tempted to use the restaurant as it looked very basic and uninviting. when we arrived we were asked to leave our credit card details with an option to take £100 security deposit in case of any breakages or damage to the lodge which I think is an excellent idea, but for my own peace of mind I insisted they send someone around on the day of our departure to check the lodge and sign to say there was no damage done which they were very happy to do, indeed the lady who came to check the lodge could not have been more friendly and gave us a glowing report. I will definitely be going back to gimblet rock.
Excellent lodge in this wonderful park. Very helpful and attentive staff.
Lovely lovely place to stay
We stayed at Gimblet Rock for 3 nights at the end of April. Our lodge was superb. Furnishings and fittings were excellent and the view over the harbour was amazing.
We could have stayed much longer.
