Fun Days Out in Gwynedd

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Quite expensive, considering how much it is to hire outside school holidays.

We are familiar with Gimblet Rock having been owners in the past. As we now live in Scotland ownership is no longer an option but holidays are very likely in the future. We found the site much improved from previously, the staff particularly are a joy and the accommodation we enjoyed was perfect for our needs. The unit was well presented, clean and well equipped. Thank you.
Rachel
A fantastic place to stay! We can't wait to come back! Great service, and beautiful views. Fab indoor pool. Ideal holiday with a young family.

Antony
Loved it. Very peaceful area, quality accommodation, and best of all for us was that the kids had a wonderful time.
Cheryl
Lovely place and the caravan was like new
Wilfred
Lovely accommodation very enjoyable.
Emily
Lovely site and caravan, couldn't fault it, facilities weren't brilliant but we stayed there for the scenery and quietness so no matter to us, overall brilliant site and will be booking again soon
Joseph
This is a nice quiet site with a lovely pool and few basic facilities. It does this really well, but isn't for people that like the evening entertainment scene and kids clubs
Christine
100% spotlessly clean. Dining area was far too small for 6 chairs. Site was absolutely spotless and well maintained
